COVID-19

The Vaccine Passport will be mandatory on the slopes this winter!!

On November 2, 2021, the government made an important announcement concerning the practice of snow sports this winter: as of November 15, 2021, the vaccine passport will be required for all skiers and snowboarders aged 13 and over.

Mont Rigaud supports this new measure, which will allow us to operate our chairlifts at full capacity, and to fully reopen our ski school and cafeteria services.

In order to promote a safe and positive experience for our clientele, Mont Rigaud will verify the vaccine passport outdoors, before entry to the site. Once admitted to the site, clients will be able to circulate freely between the lifts and the chalet, without having to repeatedly show proof of vaccination. This means that every person aged 13 and over, whether participating in an activity or accompanying a participating person, must have a vaccine passport in order to be admitted to Mont Rigaud. Every person who does not have a vaccine passport will not be admitted and will only have access to the parking lot.

Official validation of the vaccine passport will only be required once. Thanks to the RFID technology already in place at Mont Rigaud, proof of vaccination will be stored in each client's file. Subsequent visits will only require a quick scan of the client's rechargeable access card.

COMING SOON: In order to reduce wait times for first-time visitors, procedures for remote validation of the vaccine passport will be announced shortly.

We would like to remind you that all government mandated sanitary measures must be respected at all times at Mont Rigaud, and that, depending on the ongoing epidemiological situation, those measures may change at any time, and without notice, during the season.

  •  All clients confirm that they have a vaccine passport, that they are adequately protected, and that they can provide proof of such at the time of their visit.
  • All clients are aware that any false declaration, any failure to provide adequate proof of vaccination, or any lack of respect of the sanitary measures in place will result in loss of their right of access for the season.
  • All clients understand that all sanitary measures stipulated by Public Health must be respected at all times at the station. Depending on the evolving epidemiological situation, these measures may change at any time and without notice during the season.
  • All season pass and ticket holders must agree to respect the sanitary measures in place at the time of their visit.

COVID-19 symptoms

Maintaining a safe environment at Mont Rigaud requires the collaboration of our clientele.
If you or someone with whom you have close contact has the slightest sign of COVID-19 (fever, cough, respiratory difficulty), we respectfully ask that you do not come to the station, and please remain at home.

Wearing of the mask

Face coverings are recommended outside on the lifts, in lines, and for all clients participating in snow school.

Face coverings are required inside. Removal of the facemask is permitted in the restaurant areas (cafeteria and bistro) when seated at a table.

A face covering may be a procedure mask, a reusable mask, a neck tube, a balaclava, or another fitted piece of clothing covering the mouth and nose. The chosen covering must be made of at least 2 layers of tightly knit material and be large enough to completely cover the mouth and nose.

We suggest bringing at least two face coverings (one for outside, one for inside).

Chalet capacity

Access to the chalet is limited in order to allow for 1 meter physical distancing between people not residing under the same roof.
