MAJOR INVESTMENTS: MONT RIGAUD PREPARES A WINTER SEASON FILLED WITH NEW PROJECTS!

18 Août 2015

It is with great enthusiasm that Mont Rigaud announces an investment of over $ 400 000 for the realization of major projects for the 2015-2016 season: the implementation of a new website, the installation of a loading carpet to the quadruple chairlift, the renewing of the drive station and the addition of new slopes promise an exciting winter for snow sports lovers!

Mont Rigaud unveils its new website!
The Mont Rigaud website has had a makeover! New style, more efficient ergonomics and increased functionality, the Mont Rigaud website is intended as a reference and information tool, but also a means of communication now adapted to new web technologies.

Mont Rigaud unrolls the carpet!
The Mont Rigaud quadruple chairlift will soon welcome a new loading carpet which alone required an investment of over $ 235 000. This technology, still little known, offers numerous benefits: safety improvement for skiers and snowboarders, chairlift speed acceleration, reduced stops, easier boarding, increased fluidity at the base of the mountain and much more!

Mont Rigaud resets the engines!
In this second phase of an overall project for the complete renewing of the quadruple chairlift (1986) and requiring an investment of more than $ 115 000, Mont Rigaud proceeds, again this year, at the renewal of some of its components: upgrading the electrical system and renewing the engines (main and backup).

Since 2010, Mont Rigaud has already invested more than $ 200 000 in the project's first phase: upgrading the return station pulley and gearbox, adding tower heads for employee's safety and renewing the towers communication system.

Mont Rigaud increases its ski area!
This winter, skiers and snowboarders will get the opportunity to explore two (2) new slopes at Mont Rigaud! An official glade trail from south to west, called the Pic Bois (with a length of 1127 meters), and an extension of the Qui-sait-tout (with a length of 758 meters) in the remains of the T-bar (1964-2015) will be grafted to the other slopes of the ski resort to the delight of all!

Registration for the ski school and subscriptions for the 2015-2016 season begin on September 1st, 2015.
